Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) on Friday reported receiving a couple of orders in Germany for a combined capacity of close to 100 MW.
Local wind project developer Energiequelle GmbH has awarded Vestas a contract for the delivery and commissioning of nine V162-6.2 MW turbines in 6-MW operating mode. All units will be installed at a site in Lower Saxony to form the 54-MW Zeven-Wistedt wind farm.
Turbine delivery should begin in the third quarter of 2024, with commissioning planned for the final quarter of the year. Vestas will then service the turbines under a 25-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) agreement.
Meanwhile in Schleswig-Holstein, the Danish company will supply six V150-6.0 MW turbines and one V162-6.2 MW machine in 6-MW operating mode for a 42-MW repowering project from an undisclosed customer. This contract covers the supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, while an Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) service deal will provide for an optimised performance of the assets over a period of 20 years.
The company expects to start turbine delivery in the first quarter of 2024 and conclude the commissioning process in the third quarter of the same year.
