Spanish solar power producer Solaria Energia y Medio Ambiente SA (BME:SLR) said on Thursday that it has purchased 500 MW of solar photovoltaic panels at EUR 0.093 (USD 0.1) per watt, noting a 62% decrease compared to last year’s prices.

The company did not disclose the name of its “Tier 1” panel manufacturer. Details about the project that will use those panels were also kept under wraps.

Solaria expects to install the new panels in 2024, it said in a brief bourse filing.

The company has insisted this year that cheaper solar panels, combined with lower logistics and tracker costs, contributed to its EBITDA growth during the past quarters. In September, it said that its total CAPEX came down to an all-time low of EUR 0.375 million per megawatt.

Between January and September, Solaria’s EBITDA grew by 41% on the year to EUR 153.6 million.
