Spanish renewables developer Greenalia said on Friday it had obtained a permit for the construction of a 27-MW wind farm in the region of Galicia, northwest Spain.
It said it would execute the project on a budget exceeding EUR 19.5 million (USD 21.5m).
The proposed wind farm, named O Cerqueiral, will be made up of six turbines with a hub height of 111 metres and a rotor diameter of 136 metres. The machines will be scattered across three municipalities in A Coruna province.
Once up and running, the O Cerqueiral wind farm will be capable of generating around 88.8 GWh of electricity per year, Greenalia said.
