Estonian renewables developer Enefit Green AS (TAL:EGR1T) said on Wednesday that it has hired Germany’s Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) as the turbine supplier for the 256-MW Sopi-Tootsi wind farm project in Estonia.
The wind turbine maker was awarded a contract worth about EUR 346 million (USD 374.3m). It includes the supply of 38 units of 6.8 MW turbines and maintenance of the machines for a period of 30 years, Enefit Green said.
Earlier this year, the company signed loan agreements to finance Sopi-Tootsi and other wind projects in Lithuania and Finland. Betoon OU and Verston OU were later named as general construction contractors for the Sopi-Tootsi project.
