ATHENS (Greece), April 7 (SeeNews) – Greece’s Juwi Hellas Renewable Energy Sources said it has commissioned a 204 MW solar park in the Kozani region, in the northern part of country, owned by local energy group Hellenic Petroleum.
The solar power plant, located about 500 kilometres north of Athens, is the largest in Europe using bi-facial solar modules, Juwi said in a statement on Wednesday.
Service and maintenance for the new plant will be delivered by Juwi on behalf of the owner, Juwi added.
Chinese solar panel manufacturer Jinko Solar Holding delivered over 500,000 bifacial modules to Juwi for the solar park project.
The Kozani project consists of 18 sites covering on an area of 4,500 acres. It is expected to deliver 320 million kWh per year, supplying electricity to more than 75,000 Greek households and saving 300 MT of CO2 emissions.
