Braya Renewable Fuels and German renewables developer ABO Wind AG (ETR:AB9) plan to jointly develop green hydrogen production at Braya’s refinery in Come By Chance in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Braya, which is converting the Come By Chance refinery to renewable fuel operation, said this week it has issued a letter of support for the project that ABO Wind plans to submit in the Crown Land Call for Bids for Wind Energy Projects launched by the government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

This follows the November 2022 issuance by Braya of a request for proposals for the provision of 35,000 tonnes per year of green hydrogen for its advanced biofuels refinery.
It selected ABO Wind with its proposal for a multi-phased, integrated project capable of supplying green hydrogen for Braya’s needs, as well as green ammonia for global export.
