December 23 (Renewables Now) – UK’s Bluefield Solar Income Fund Ltd (LON:BSIF) has purchased a 46.4-MWp solar portfolio in operation in England at an enterprise value of GBP 56 million (USD 67.4m/EUR 63.4m).

The acquisition expands Bluefield Solar’s total installed capacity to 813 MWp, the British firm said in a statement on Friday.

The portfolio comprises two ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) plants, a 39.3-MWp site located in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire and a 7.1-MWp facility located in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

The assets were acquired from North American real estate-focused alternative investment manager Fengate Asset Management.

The solar sites have been operational since 2015 and are accredited under the Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROC) regime with a tariff of 1.4 ROCs.

The equity value of the deal stands at GBP 28.7 million. The portfolio contains GBP 27.3 million of long-term amortising debt provided by Australia’s Macquarie (ASX:MQG).
