Swedish solar developer Alight has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) to deliver the output from a 300-kWp rooftop solar PV array to logistics solutions company Toyota Material Handling France (TMHFR).

The array consists of 790 solar panels installed atop TMHFR’s facility in the Parisian commune of Bussy-Saint-Georges. It is expected to generate around 323 MWh per year, or enough to satisfy around 25% of the building’s annual electricity consumption, the parties said in a press release.

Alight is the developer, owner and manager of the rooftop power plant. The firm started the installation in the autumn of 2022 and hooked the array the same year in December.

TMHFR will buy the solar energy as part of Toyota Material Handling Europe’s (TMHE) solar roll-out. In 2019, Alight struck a partnership deal to install rooftop solar at TMHE’s facilities in Europe and sell the electricity through PPAs. The first installation under the agreement was completed in 2020 at TMHE’s facility in Mjolby, Sweden.
