US distributed generation platform Aspen Power said Friday it has finished the construction of 14 solar projects with a combined generation capacity of 49.4 MW DC in Georgia.
Aspen Power acquired the portfolio from Inman Solar, which originated and developed the projects and provided engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services.
Aspen Power will be the long-term owner and operator. Including these projects, the company now has 43 facilities in Georgia, totalling 140 MW DC.
The portfolio consists of ground-mounted solar systems with single axis trackers, mainly located in the southeastern part of the state. They will supply electricity directly to Georgia Power under long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) resulting from the company’s 2020 Distributed Generation Request for Proposal.
Aspen Power praised its partner. “The Inman team has done a fantastic job bringing high quality projects to the table, and we’re glad to have worked with their team to get these projects across the finish line and to become the long-term owners and operators,” said Lara Bushwood, Aspen Power’s director, project development.
