Solar panel maker Astronergy, part of China’s Chint Group, has secured an order to deliver 200 MW of its n-type TopCon photovoltaic (PV) modules to Romanian power equipment manufacturer Eximprod Grup.

The deal was placed after a visit of the Romanian group’s delegation to Astronergy’s manufacturing base and testing centre in Haining, in China’s Zhejiang province at the beginning of April, the solar product maker said earlier this week.

The Astro N n-type modules will be powering five solar farms proposed to be built by Eximprod across Romania. Shipments of the first batch of modules are planned to begin in June, Astronergy said.

Astronergy noted that its TopCon modules have been so far selected for solar projects with a combined capacity of over 1.1 GW in Australia, Brazil and Germany.

Astronergy serves not only as the supplier of electrical transmission and distribution equipment but also as the operation and maintenance (O&M) service provider.
