Finnish provider of zero-emission energy solutions Enersense International (HEL:ESENSE) said on Monday it has secured a deal to install a 13-turbine wind farm in Finland on behalf of Gigawatti Oy.

The award designates Enersense as the main contractor for the Oosinselka wind farm project, the company said on Monday. The deal, the value of which was kept under wraps, will see the contractor install the wind power complex, build roads, platforms and foundations, as well as the plant’s internal network.

To be built in the municipality of Eurajoki, Western Finland province, the Oosinselka wind park is planned to become operational by the end of next year. Construction works are due to be launched this summer.

Gigawatti Oy is fully owned by S-Voima Oy, the electricity procurement business of Helsinki-based retailing cooperative S Group. According to initial estimates, the wind farm will have an output that will cover a fifth of the group’s overall electricity demand.
