December 30 (Renewables Now) – Polish integrated utility Enea (WSE:ENA) said on Thursday it has put on stream three solar photovoltaic (PV) farms of a total 5 MW in Lubno, northwestern Poland.

The facility in Lubno is the largest of the PV installations rolled out by the group, said Stefan Traczyk, deputy CEO of Enea Nowa Energia, adding that new PV farms are to be added to Enea’s renewable energy assets. Currently, the company is working on a 6.5-MW PV installation in northwestern Krzecin.

Enea Nowa Energia, a unit of Poland’s second biggest electricity producer, was set up in 2019 to operate Enea’s renewable energy assets. They include chiefly biomass, hydropower and wind, but recently two PV installations have been put into operation.
