2026 Q2 Infrastructure & Energy – European Hiring Review

The more positive tone seen at the start of the year continued into Q2 across the European infrastructure and energy investment market, with confidence building, pricing expectations moving closer together and growth becoming a more regular part of market discussions.

While this has yet to translate into a broad increase in investor-level appointments, growth and hiring plans are featuring more often in conversations at GP level, while activity across portfolio companies remains strong. There are also early indications that competition for talent could increase as more firms consider the capabilities they will need to support their future plans.

Our latest European Hiring Review brings together key senior appointments from across the quarter and explores how firms can support the teams responsible for delivering increasingly active value-creation strategies.

Including in the report:

  • Key leadership moves across C-Suite, MD, Partner, Director & VP appointments
  • Market outlook
  • How asset management teams are evolving as firms move towards value-add strategies.
  • How Management Incentive Plans can maintain alignment across a realistic range of investment outcomes.
